  Broad market strategy

Invesco’s wholly owned subsidiary, Concord Capital, manages a range of long-only broad market Australian equity portfolios.

In-depth research by a highly experienced and well-resourced team of analysts has resulted in high conviction portfolios with a strong track record in outperforming in a variety of market conditions.

The Concord team uses a fundamental, bottom-up stock selection process that is likely to be biased towards quality businesses with a competitive advantage in industries which themselves have a reasonable competitive outlook.

  Research strategy

The broad market research strategy capitalises on the strong research capability and depth of experience of the Concord team.

The analyst/portfolio managers recommend their best stock research ideas, which are then combined into a concentrated, high conviction portfolio that is generally sector-neutral.

  Smaller Companies Fund

Invesco’s Australian small cap team’s bottom-up, value-based approach has delivered outperformance since its inception in 1988.

The team looks for stocks where change is taking place, which may lead to earnings growth that is not yet reflected in the current market price.

The team’s somewhat contrarian approach to managing small cap assets has seen the small cap portfolios consistently add value for clients through various market cycles.

Head of Senior Secured Bank Loans

Greg Stoeckle is responsible for the oversight of macro strategies and implementation of loan strategies. Greg joined Invesco in 1990 when the bank loans business was in its infancy. He was instrumental in building Invesco’s business from a domestic platform of less than $1bn in 1999 to the current global franchise of around $20bn.

  Bank loans

Senior secured corporate loans, also called bank loans, are the most senior debt obligations of non-investment grade corporate borrowers. Bank loans have attracted renewed investor attention since the global financial crisis because they pay attractive current income, are secured by the borrower’s collateral, provide diversification within a fixed income portfolio, and are a natural hedge against inflation as they are floating rate (LIBOR plus a margin).

Invesco is one of the largest and longest tenured institutional bank loan platforms in the world. With over US$20 billion in bank loan strategies, Invesco has the experience and scale to achieve enhanced market access for these senior secured floating rate debt instruments.
