What is an institutional investor?

An institutional investor is an organisation whose primary purpose is to invest its own assets or those it holds in trust for others. Institutional investors may include fund managers, superannuation/pension funds (industry, government or corporate), life companies, universities, banks, etc.

Individually managed and pooled institutional clients with us can access either tailored investment reports or generic reports. Clients can also access information about our range of global investment strategies, our fund managers, or our latest investment and market thinking.
